admissions
WelcomeAt CAS, we have an open admission policy. We understand the challenges of families relocating to another country for business or job placement. This is why students can apply for admission throughout the year. Although we conduct initial assessments, we use this information primarily to guide instruction. We believe that all students can learn when exposed to high quality instruction coupled with a nurturing environment.
We accept applications for students in the following programs:
• Preschool: Preschool 1 to Junior Kindergarten (4-year olds)
• Lower School: Senior Kindergarten (5-year olds) to Grade 5
• Middle School: Grade 6 to 8
• High School: Grade 9 to 12

Our Admission Process
1. Attend a School Trial.
School trials are typically scheduled for a class day. During this time, prospective students are able to sit in the class for a full-day to experience our learning environment. Families get to ask questions about the school and our programs. To book a school trial, please visit our website at www.canamschool.org and click on the Request a School Trial button on the upper right corner of the webpage.
2. Submit an Application Form and settle the application fee.
The complete Application Form is in this packet or can be downloaded on www.canamschool.org > Admissions > School Forms
3. Skills Evaluation.
Applicants from Senior Kindergarten (5-year olds) and up will sit in for skills testing and/or English language proficiency tests. These tests are not Pass/Fail Tests; their results help us create a learning profile for the prospective student, which in turn, drives instructional planning. It also helps determine whether the child needs additional support services.
At CAS, we have English as a Second Language (ESL) Program for students whose first language is not English.
Students with identified special/exceptional needs likewise go through a comprehensive evaluation which may include related service providers like Speech and Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapists, Adapted Physical Educators, etc.
4. Review and Acceptance.
Applications for admission are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. Only completed forms with Nonrefundable Registration Fees and Testing Fees settled will be reviewed. Acceptance decisions are usually issued electronically, with a formal letter and a School Fees Invoice attached.
